NEVERSINK — The Neversink Horseshoe League recently announced their 2024 tournament schedule after a successful inaugural 2023 season.

The season began on Sunday as players participated in the Lloyd Botsford Memorial Tournament.

From there, the next event is on June 2 for the Spring Neversink Fire Department Tournament.

On July 14, players will compete in “The Matty” Scholarship Tournament. The next weekend, July 20 and 21, players will travel to Deposit to compete in the Lumber Jack Tournament.

After that, August 18 will be a tournament to benefit local initiatives, and will lead into the end of the summer and beginning of fall.

On September 15, the Fall Neversink Fire Department Tournament will take place with cash prizes available.

The last event of the season is on September 28 and will be a Vet Fest Benefit Tournament.

The benefit tournaments award trophies for first, second and third places. Similarly, cash prize tournaments pay out the top three teams.

All of the tournaments are open to the public, either to watch or to play.

The play is double elimination, doubles (partners) and follows a National set of pitching rules courtesy of the National Horsehoe Pitching Association (NHPA).
