Thomas “Tj” Rosengrant, a loving Husband, Father, Poppy, born August 20, 1969 in Walton, N.Y., died on December 14, 2022 suddenly at his home in Hancock, N.Y., at the age of 53. Tj was born on August 20, to Thomas and Elizabeth Rosengrant of Fishs Eddy, N.Y., where he lived most of his entire life. 

Tj met his soulmate and love of his life, Tina Rosengrant, at the age of 21, later having two beautiful daughters that were his world. Tj and Tina married on May 19, 2007 after being together for 17 years. Tj worked for many years at Vetrone Motors before becoming a New York State Correction Officer in 1999. Tj was an active member and past Chief of the Hancock Fire Department for 35 years and a member of the Hancock Rescue Squad. Tj was currently 1st Assistant Chief at the time of his death. Tj loved being a Firefighter and New York State EMT. Tj’s daughters followed in his steps at young ages becoming members of the fire department. Tj had many beloved hobbies, from hunting and scuba diving, to riding his motorcycle, and being a member of the Delaware Valley Ridge Riders snowmobile club. 

Tj was head over heals and adored his 6 grandchildren Teagan, Paislee, Tommy, Elizabeth, Emsleigh and Peyton.

Tj was predeceased by his wife, Tina; mother and father, Thomas and Betty Rosengrant; mother-in-law, Jill Hills; and nephew, Dalton Hills. Tj is survived by his daughter, Kaitlin (Connor) Duffy and Felicity (Tom) Conkling; his six grand-babies: Teagan Francisco, Emsleigh Duffy and Paislee, Tommy, Elizabeth, Peyton Conkling; his father-in-law, John Hills; brother, Christian (Lisa) Rosengrant; sister, Heather Rosengrant; his uncle, Michael (Yvonne) Andersen, aunt, Mariana (Rodney) Murray; Tina’s four sisters and their spouses, and 14 nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services were held on December 19, 2022 at Hancock Fire Department in Hancock, NY, with a viewing from 2PM-5PM, and services followed at 5 PM.
