ROCKLAND — With more than 150 water meters throughout the town no longer working properly, the Town of Rockland has moved to hire Delaware Engineering at $15,000 to begin drawing the specs of a bid package aimed at procuring new meters.

“We have to follow procedure and put it out to bid,” said Rockland Town Supervisor Rob Eggleton. “It has to be  good enough for the DOH [Department of Health] and Albany has to sign off on the bid package, which has some additional costs.”
