ROSCOE – The Roscoe Beer Company held its 10th Annual Oktoberfest at Roscoe Mountain Club on Saturday for a full day of fun, food and craft beer. At the event, Roscoe Beer Company also unveiled their Oktoberfest beer releases, Festbier, Streamside Pilser and Oktoberfest.

The band Sway performed on the stage while activities for the whole family, like carriage rides, bouncy houses, pumpkin painting and much more took place throughout the field. Local vendors were also in attendance selling pumpkins, shirts, vegetables and more.  

A Stein holding competition took place on the stage in which Alex Pizzano outlasted six other entrants for nearly 10 minutes to take home first place and free beer. 

“I’d liked to thank my family, my friends,” Pizzano joked in an ‘acceptance speech’ to the Democrat. He also said he has done a number of other Stein holding competitions in the past, so it wasn’t his first rodeo.
