CALLICOON — The River Run turned 27 with a bang!
A record 450 runners and walkers walked and ran their way down Callicoon’s River Road on Saturday to support the Delaware Youth Center in the non-profit’s annual fundraiser.
Crossing the finish line first was Thomas Chun with a 5:34-minute mile. The first place finisher in the 5K run, Chun also won the male 16-19 age group with a 17:21 time.
First overall in the 5K women’s was Sullivan West runner Alaina Keller of North Branch who crossed the finish line in just 19:50.
In the 10K run, the top honors went to Ryan Gibson with a 35:29 finish for both the men’s and overall wins, while Kristy Sigelakis of Jeffersonville captured the top women’s finish with a time of 43:39.
