WAPPINGERS FALLS–– On Saturday, November 23 Tri-Valley had two athletes compete at Federations and Nike Regional Championships. Federations includes all class sizes in the state (double A through D), public and private schools, and is an invitation-only race. 

Van Furman finished 4th with a time of 16:04 and qualified for the Nike National Championships in Portland, Oregon. Anna Furman also raced at Federations and Nike Regional Championships and finished 21st with a time of 19:17.

On the following weekend both Van and Anna competed at Footlocker Regionals in Boston, MA. Van Furman finished 6th with a time of 15:29 and qualified for the prestigious Footlocker National Championships in San Diego, CA. 

Van is one of the only athletes in the entire US to qualify for both. Anna Furman also competed and finished 16th with a time of 18:35 - 8 of the top 15 being seniors.
