MONTICELLO– Charlie’s Angels jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, defeating We Care Bears 19-7 in a Women’s League softball matchup. Their consistent offensive performance and timely defense were key to their win.

Charlie’s Angels wasted little time getting on the scoreboard, plating five runs in the top of the first inning before We Care answered with two of their own in the bottom of the half. The Angels continued to swing hot bats in the second, loading the bases early before a towering triple cleared them for three runs. Another string of hits pushed the lead to 11-2, though We Care responded with two runs to stay within striking distance.

The Angels pulled away in the third inning, capitalizing off of an infield error and putting together several timely hits to score five more runs and extend their lead to 16-4. We Care refused to quit, battling back with three runs in the bottom of the inning and loading the bases before a caught pop fly ended the threat. Charlie’s Angels added single runs in the fourth, fifth and seventh innings, while their defense settled in, allowing just one hit over the final four innings and keeping We Care off the scoreboard the rest of the way. A double play in the sixth helped halt one final scoring opportunity before three quick outs in the seventh sealed a 19-7 victory for the Angels.
