The Delaware Youth Center Board of Directors would like to thank the Facility Maintenance Students from the Delaware Valley Job Corps, who along with their instructor, painted the 1900 square foot outdoor pool at the DYC.

In total, the students applied 25 gallons of a specialized rubber based paint, transforming an ugly pool into a beautiful one.

“The students did a great job,” said Pete Lafleur, the facilities coordinator for the center.

They applied two coats of paint on successive days to accomplish this project. Also, a special thanks to Andy Savage, the Education Supervisor at the Job Corps, who was the point of contact in coordinating this activity.
