On Wednesday, August 14th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Please call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit redcrossblood.org to make your lifesaving appointment. The American Red Cross is facing an emergency blood shortage and urges people to make an appointment to give now to help patients across the country receive lifesaving medical treatments.  The supply of type O blood products is so low that hospital distributions of this vital blood typ0e have been reduced below what hospitals need in recent weeks.

Survivor Christina Hubert will be the 2024 guest speaker! This wonderful group raises funds to assist local people diagnosed with cancer cover the cost of gas and tolls/parking while undergoing doctor’s visits and treatment. The Outdoor Movie “The Lion King” sponsored by the JEMS last Friday night at The Backyard Park, had to be cancelled due once again to crappy weather! They want everyone to know “The Lion King” will be scheduled to be the first Outdoor movie in the Summer 2025 lineup!

The JEMS is sponsoring their last Concert for this year in The Backyard Park (21 Lovett Lane, Jeffersonville) on Saturday, August 17th with gates opening at 6 p.m. and the music starting at 7 p.m. (please good weather) A FREE event of two shows and they will all play together too! Featuring BJ Hendrickson and a second group, “The Bones Krew!”  Please bring a blanket/chair.
