Kathy was born on October 14, 1945 to Dorothy & Roosevelt Bethea in NYC. She was the youngest of five children and the only girl. She spent her formative years in Harlem, NY and graduated from Julia Richman HS.

She attended Salem United Methodist Church in Harlem with her family. 

In 1978, Kathy relocated to Liberty, NY where she was employed by Hudson Transit Lines. She eventually went on to work for Community General Hospital from which she retired after 30 years.

Kathy met her future husband, Robert Beasley, in May of 1981. They married on September 18, 1993.

Kathy had an amazing sense of humor. She enjoyed her family, spending time at the casino, and feeding the birds that came to her yard.

Kathy passed away on February 15, 2024 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers, Douglas, Carl, and Ronald, Sr. She is survived by her husband, Robert Beasley and her brother Melvin Bethea (Marguerite). She leaves to cherish her memory a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 12 to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  Funeral services will begin at 1 PM in the funeral home.  The Rev. Douglas Bowman will officiate.
