Noreen Ward, 70, passed away July 8, 2023, in Milford, PA, after a long battle with Huntington’s Disease.

Noreen was born February 10, 1953 to Robert “Bob” and Marilyn (Zeltmann) Ward. A life long resident of Sullivan county, she grew up in Woodbourne with her sister Valerie and brother Brett. She graduated Tri-Valley Central School in 1971. She then attended Orange County Community College and Cortland State. She went on to work as an office manager which lead to running her own salon as a nail technician in Monticello. She had two daughters, Mia and Rolyn, who she was forever proud of and always loved to brag about. She spent the last 20 years with her best friend and partner, Aaron Smith. They took care of each other right until the very end.

Noreen was predeceased by her mother and father, Robert and Marilyn Ward, and her sister Valerie and her husband Ray Fennell. Unfortunately her mother and sister both fought the same battle as Noreen with Huntington’s Disease.

She is survived by her long time partner Aaron Smith of Liberty, her daughters Mia Miller of Newtown, CT and Rolyn and her husband Garrison Ryan of Averill Park, her loving brother Brett and his wife Gina Ward of Monroe, NY, her six grandchildren Grace, Ember, Coal, Aidan, Bren and Brigid, two nieces and one nephew, cousins and aunts and uncles.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date with just close family. A special thanks to Colonial Memorial Funeral Home for providing their services at the family’s time of need and the Milford Rehabilitation Center for the special attention they gave Noreen in her final days.
