SULLIVAN COUNTY — Recently the Delaware-Sullivan District, Order of Eastern Star and Sullivan 5 Star Chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Livingston Manor made a sizeable donation to Action Toward Independence, a Veterans Service Organization located in Monticello. 

Shoe boxes of items for Veterans and Veteran families were collected in the District as well as “D” dollar bills were donated to ATI to be distributed to local veterans.

The Chapter collected a laundry basket full of new socks for men and women and donated for distribution as needed by veteran families. 

These projects were part of Eastern Star statewide altruistic projects which we decided to donate in our own area. The Executive Director, Deborah Warden and Veteran Advocate, Matthew Kleman were very appreciative of our efforts which made us very proud of our members.
