Robert Peters of North Branch, NY, passed away at home surrounded by his family on July 12, 2024 after a long illness. He was 92. He was born on November 29, 1931 in Fall River, Massachusetts to Claude and Mary Peters. At the age of 9, his family moved to Cooley, Pennsylvania and later to Callicoon. Bob attended DVCS until 1950. He then joined the Navy and served during the Korean War. It was during this time that he met his future wife, Pat. They married in 1954 and eventually settled in North Branch.

While raising their seven children, Bob worked various jobs until opening his plumbing business in 1967, which he owned and operated for 57 years. Bob was known for his tremendous work ethic, commitment to family, and unwavering faith. He was a hunter and avid fisherman throughout his life, a passion he shared with his children.

Bob is survived by his wife of 70 years, Patricia, and his six children: Mark Peters (Cindy) of Jeffersonville, NY; Keith Peters (Jodi) of Tyler Hill, PA; Terri Peters (Mike Marois) of Fayetteville, AR; Jeffrey Peters (Jenny) of Roscoe, NY; Pamela Peters of Palm Coast, FL; and Susan Peters (Jack Heinicke) of North Branch, NY. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Bob is predeceased by his brother, Arthur Costa; his son, Howard Peters; and his granddaughter, Rebekah Peters.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 19th at 11 a.m. at the Methodist Church in North Branch, NY followed by a luncheon at the North Branch Firehouse. In lieu of flowers, charitable donations may be sent to the Foundation Fighting Blindness at donate.fightingblindness.org.

Dignified cremation is entrusted to Harris Funeral Home in Roscoe, NY.
