The sixth month of the 2024 Sullivan 180 Healthiest Fire Department Challenge is nearly over, but the competition is still going strong. The Top-3 is the same this week, with Monticello leading the way with 428 points. Roscoe-Rockland is close behind in second place with 377 points, and Kauneonga Lake is holding third place with 325.

Volunteer firefighters constantly balance work, home life and volunteerism, which can lead to sleep deprivation and its dangers. Departments throughout Sullivan County attended a class about the importance of sleep and to learn how to improve their sleep.
