Thomas M. DePace of Monticello, a retired self-employed electrician, passed away on Monday, July 10, 2023 at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla. He was 94.

The son of the late Thomas DePace and Carolina DeFillipo DePace, he was born December 20, 1928 in Monticello. He was the widower of Janice Rennison DePace who predeceased him in 2014.

Tommy served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II and was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Monticello.

He is survived by a son: Thomas J. DePace and his wife Karen of Savannah, GA; two daughters: Tina DePace of Monticello, and Patti Kaus of Bethel; grandchildren: Karilee Long of Savannah, GA, Joey Mapes of Jeffersonville, and Andy Mapes of Wurtsboro; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his siblings: Mike DePace, Joe DePace, Jerry DePace, Mary Pittaluga, Eleanor Calman and Clara DeSimone.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Friday, July 14 from 11am to 1pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 401 Broadway in Monticello. His funeral service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Monticello.
