Wayne Schroeder, 66, died at his Parksville home with his wife by his side after a long illness on June 10, 2024.

Wayne had a very full and interesting life starting with being born at home on December 12, 1957.  He grew up on a dairy farm, ran motocross racing as a teenager, and attended college in Delhi.  He worked as a bricklayer with his father and became a master tile setter; he was a festival food vendor and master organic gardener. He also enjoyed fishing for local trout, and loved his music festivals and concerts!

Survivors include his wife Spring Schroeder; his daughter, Johanna Jacaruso; his stepchildren, Leslie, Sonya, Andrea and Arric; his sisters, Darlene O’Dell and her husband Michael, Diane Grabek and her husband Joesph, Janice Casterline and her husband David; one brother, Mark Schroeder and his wife Janis; and many nieces and nephews.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Irmgard and Werner Schroeder; and his brother, Thomas Schroeder.

Visitation was held on June 14, 2024 from 11 AM to 1 PM in the Harris Funeral Home, West St. at Buckley, Liberty, NY.  Funeral services began at 1 PM in the funeral home, Father Roland Raj, MMI officiated. Burial will followed at Calvary Cemetery in Youngsville.
