ROCK HILL – Paula Kay, (D-Rock Hill), who is running for Assembly, proudly announced today that she has received the endorsements of the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, Laborers’ Local 17, and the New York State AFL-CIO. These significant endorsements underscore her commitment to supporting working families and advocating for labor rights within the 100th Assembly District.

L. Todd Diorio, President of the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, expressed his strong support for Paula Kay, stating, “On behalf of the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, the umbrella organization of 29 local trade unions and thousands of members from the Hudson Valley, we are proud to endorse Paula Kay for New York State Assembly, 100th District. She has ensured us she will stand behind the building trades and all working families when it comes to labor protections, prevailing wages, Project Labor Agreements and is committed to ensuring local labor is used on projects within the 100th District.”

The New York State AFL-CIO, representing over 2.5 million members, also endorsed Paula Kay. The NYS AFL-CIO fights to protect vital public services like education and health care, ensure labor protections are in place when state dollars are spent so they create good union jobs, and secure safe workplaces for their members and all hardworking New Yorkers.

These latest endorsements are in addition to support from the North Atlantic States Regional Council of Carpenters, NYSUT, and CSEA, as well as the NYS Troopers, Fallsburg PBA, Sullivan County Sheriff’s PBA, and New York State Police Investigators Association.

“I am deeply honored to receive the endorsements of the Hudson Valley Building and Construction Trades Council, Laborers’ Local 17, and the New York State AFL-CIO,” said Kay. “I have always believed that our community’s strength lies in the hands of our hardworking men and women. I will continue to fight for policies that protect their rights and ensure fair wages and safe working conditions.”
