The Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association (SCVA) is excited to share some big updates as it continues its mission of promoting the county as a must-visit destination. With new initiatives, strengthened partnerships, and a refreshed approach to storytelling, SCVA is building on its long tradition of showcasing all that our region has to offer.
A New Travel Guide Arrives in December
One of the most anticipated changes is the upcoming release of the brand-new Sullivan Catskills Travel Guide, arriving this December. As of last week, businesses have submitted their listings, ensuring that visitors will have the most complete and up-to-date resource available. From dining and lodging to attractions and community organizations, the guide will serve as the go-to-handbook for exploring the Sullivan Catskills.
In collaboration with Edible Manhattan for the first time, this partnership will help share the county’s authentic character with a wider audience while spotlighting the businesses and people who make it so special. The new guide reflects SCVA’s broader commitment to supporting local businesses and ensuring that tourism benefits the entire community. By giving businesses more visibility and integrating storytelling with promotion, SCVA is helping local establishments connect with both first-time visitors and returning guests looking for new experiences.
Tickets are now on sale for Taste Sullivan Catskills, the county’s premier culinary celebration, formerly known as Catskills Cuisine. This reimagined event will feature a new look and format, shining a spotlight on local farms, restaurants, chefs, and food artisans. Curated by celebrity chef Scott Conant and friends, the weekend blends culinary creativity, community spirit, and seasonal beauty into an immersive experience that feels both deeply rooted and destination-worthy. Details and tickets are available at TasteSullivanCatskills.com.
Looking Ahead
These new initiatives reflect SCVA’s commitment to strengthening community connections and promoting Sullivan County as a four-season destination. By blending practical resources with storytelling, supporting local businesses, and reintroducing beloved events with a fresh twist, SCVA is ensuring that visitors experience not just the beauty of the Catskills, but also its vibrant culture and hospitality.
With the December travel guide, the Edible Manhattan collaboration, and the introduction of Taste Sullivan Catskills, the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association is opening a new chapter that puts the county’s best on full display for visitors near and far.
