LAKE HUNTINGTON – The Sullivan West Bulldogs hosted a football scrimmage at their home field in Lake Huntington. Livingston Manor/Roscoe was the other Sullivan County team to participate in the tournament along with out-of-county schools Ellenville and Millbrook Central. It was the teams’ last tuneup before the regular season of the eight-man football season kicks off this week.
The teams went through offensive and defensive plays against each of the other teams that were in attendance. They got nearly two hours of play in before it began to downpour and they packed up. The Bulldogs also continued to go through plays with their second-team offense as the rain began to fall towards the end.
Sullivan West kicks off its season against Onteora at 7 p.m. at home on Friday in a non-league game, while Livingston Manor/Roscoe kicks off their season against Eldred at 7 p.m. at home on Saturday.
