Wildcats take down Yellowjackets!

LIVINGSTON MANOR — Livingston Manor closed out their regular season division schedule on Wednesday night as they hosted the Eldred Yellowjackets. After a close start to the game, the Wildcats were able to pull away and win 65-41. Ben Johnston and Anthony Zamenick led the Wildcats with 17 and 16 points respectively, while Eldred was paced by Trai Kaufmann with 22.

“I’m very happy with the win and how unselfishly we played,” LM Coach Charlie Hicks said. “Eldred went on a little run in the first but we settled down and made adjustments to their triangle and two. It was a good team win for us going into sectionals.”

“It comes down to the same things I’ve been saying all year, we are too inconsistent,” Said Eldred Coach Bill Furler. “We miss too many baskets within eight feet. We played well Monday and started out well tonight. Hats off to them, they had players make open looks. I wish Coach Hicks and his team luck in the playoffs.”
